23rd September 2021 | New Bank Authority Feature and more....

System - Bank Authority: We've introduced a new layer of security that looks after changes made to existing bank accounts as well as newly added ones. With this new feature, any new accounts added or changes made to existing ones, the system will send an email notification to your admin users to approve the proposed changes. More detail on this new feature can be found here.

Tenant - Archiving with outstanding invoices: We found an issue from our release last month that prevented users from archiving a tenant with a balance under tenant invoices when the below setting is turned on. This has been fixed and will continue to work as expected.


System - Label Changes: Under our 'System - Settings' area, you will notice a few labels have been renamed. This doesn't change any of the settings in this area, just a simple re-label to more suitable titles for each section. All changes are noted below:

Reports: Tenant Details: A minor change to our tenant details report, the agent displayed on this report will now reflect the primary agent 1 that is linked to the property. This was previously linked to the primary agent under the owner screen.

System - Merge Fields: After a very long hiatus, we've finally brought in our Bond merge fields - Tenant Group Bond Total, Tenant Group Bond Paid & Tenant Group Bond Outstanding. These will now be available to be used in Document Templates (Both email & SMS) and within Custom Views. Since it's been a while, here is a breakdown to help you understand where these fields look to pull info from:

  • Tenant Group Bond Total - This is the amount of Bond Transferred plus the Bond Required

  • Tenant Group Bond Paid - This is the amount that has been receipted into Palace under Receipt Bond and any amount entered into the Bond Transferred field (as that is considered paid already)

  • Tenant Group Bond Outstanding - This is the amount of Bond Total minus the Bond Paid

Reports - Tenant Transaction Ledger // Tenant Invoices: Another quick fix to a couple of existing reports. We've tidied up the user filter for both reports so that you can actually pull the information that is needed based on the selected user from the drop-down.

Transactions - Bond Payment: We've made some minor changes to the reference fields within the bank file for bond payments - This will now include your company name to assist the bond centre to identify you when processing your bond payments

Transactions - Invoice Tenancy: To help with some recent RTAA changes, we've added a few fields that allow you to break down your tenant invoice costs. This, in turn, will show on the remittance and provide more transparency on the invoice.

NOTE: This does not create separate invoice transactions. You will still be processing a single 'Invoice Tenancy' transaction, this feature simply allows you to have a breakdown of what makes up the total invoice amount if and when necessary
