Clear browser cache and cookies

Google Chrome - Clear cache and cookies

When you use a browser, like Chrome, it saves some information from websites in its cache and cookies. Clearing these items fixes certain problems, like loading or formatting issues on sites.

  • On your computer, open Chrome
  • At the top right-hand corner, click the menu buttonunnamed.png
  • Click More tools and then Clear browsing data

  • Click the time range and select a time range of All time
  • Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files
  • Click Clear data.

Google Chrome - Reset settings to default

You can reset your browser settings in Chrome at any time. You might need to do this if apps or extensions you installed changed your settings without your knowledge. Your saved bookmarks and passwords won't be cleared or changed.

  • On your computer, open Chrome
  • Top right-hand corner, click the menu buttonunnamed.png
  • Go to Help > click About Google Chrome
  • Bottom left-hand side click Reset settings
  • Click Restore settings to their original defaults

  • Click Reset Settings
  • Work through the Palace steps to see if the print dialogue box appears, if not, restart the computer and try again

Should the issue still happen again after all the above stems have been done you will need to uninstall Chrome, restart the computer, download Chrome and try again.

Microsoft Edge - Clear cache and cookies

  • On your computer, open Edge.
  • At the top right-hand corner, click the menu buttonunnamed.png
  • Click Settings

  • On the left-hand side menu, click Privacy, search, and services
  • Under the Clear browsing data heading, click on Choose what to clear

  • Click the drop-down of Time range and select All time
  • Click Clear now
  • Sign in to Palace and repeat the steps to see if the printing pop-up shows. If the pop-up still flashes and does not show the browser would need to be reset to default settings.

Microsoft Edge - Reset settings to default

  • On your computer, open Edge
  • Top right-hand corner, click the menu buttonunnamed.png
  • Click Settings

  • On the left-hand side menu, click Reset settings
  • Click Reset settings to their default value
  • Click Reset
  • Work through the Palace steps to see if the print dialogue box appears, if not, restart the computer and try again
