How to Upload an Inspection to Palace on the Palace Liquid (Pink) Android Inspection App

Once you have finished all your inspections they need to be exported from your device to appear in your Palace database.

You need an internet connection for this. I.e., wireless or mobile.

Instructions - Exporting and Importing Inspections:

  • On the device, tap on the three lines icon (menu) (Top left-hand side of any of the list screens)

  • Tap on Uploads

  • Once you have finished your inspections and have tapped on the Submit button they will close and appear in the QUEUE area. If you have an internet connection at the time of submission, your inspection will begin uploading immediately and depending on the number of photos and the quality of your internet connection the inspection should upload rather quickly, however, if you do not have an active internet connection, your inspection will remain in your QUEUE until a connection is available.
  • When you have completed a photo and/or video inspection, you will find the uploaded inspections in the UPLOADED area.
  • Please note: During a video inspection you are able to pause the video, if needed, in order to keep the video short and to the point. While this feature is an Android feature that the app has inherited Apple does not support pausing videos.
  • Once your inspection has been submitted, you can check the status under the Uploads tab by tapping Settings from the Menu button. Tap on Uploads and you will be taken to the QUEUE area. This is where you can see the progress of the uploading inspection.
  • The UPLOADED area shows you the most recent 14 days of uploaded inspections with a timestamp of when they were uploaded.

Note: It may take a while depending on the number of photos that you have taken and the length of the video.

  • The below clip shows that if you have done an inspection without mobile data or wireless connection the inspection will appear in the QUEUE area with a black arrow icon showing that it needs to be uploaded from the device to Palace.
  • Once there is a data connection the inspection(s) in the QUEUE area may automatically upload or press the arrow icon for it to upload.
  • Inside the UPLOADED area you will find previously uploaded inspections. Each inspection will have an arrow icon that can be tapped to re-upload. This is an option in case you need to re-upload an inspection.

Note: Only reupload inspections from the UPLOADED area after 35 hours as this is the allocated timeout period.

  • Tap out of the UPLOADS area by going back to Settings and back in to ensure the screens have been updated if needed.
  • There will be a pink icon in the device's notification area (at the very top of the screen), swipe down and there will be an explanation that the inspection has been uploaded successfully.

In Palace Liquid

  • Click on Property > Property inspections > Import List. Select your name from the Property Manager drop-down box or browse the list to find your inspection.
