If you have not yet created a YouTube channel you would need to do that first before you can perform video inspections on the app.

Verify your YouTube channel

Some video inspections may be longer than 15 minutes. In this case, you will have issues uploading to YouTube. You may encounter the Video unavailable error on YouTube.

  • On a computer, go to YouTube and make sure you are signed in with the same Gmail email account you are using on the inspection app
  • Go to YouTube's verify page
  • Follow the steps to verify your Google account. You can choose to get a verification code through a text message on a mobile device or an automated voice call

Maximum video upload length and size

  • The maximum file size you can upload to YouTube from outside the inspection app is 128GB or 12 hours, whichever is less

Note: Video inspections taken in the app are capped at 30 minutes per video. Multiple videos can be made instead of one long video. This helps in case there are upload issues.

Use a single YouTube channel

It's a good idea for all users to use the company-created YouTube channel. If agents have their own personal Gmail email/YouTube channel and they leave the company, the videos will still be accessible until they delete the channel or clear the videos. This will cause the property diary video links to become invalid and result in the loss of those video inspections.
