For longer inspections, we recommend that you do a video inspection to reduce the chance of not being able to send the file due to the number of photos being too large.
Sometimes Video Inspections can be longer than 15 mins. In this case, you may have issues uploading to Youtube for your owners.
Errors you may find when accessing the video link in the property diary is a message on YouTube:
On YouTube, by default, you can upload videos that are up to 15 minutes long. Verified accounts can upload videos longer than 15 minutes.
To verify your Google Account:
- On a computer, go to https://www.youtube.com/verify.
- Follow the steps to verify your Google Account. You can choose to get a verification code through a text message on a mobile device or an automated voice call.
Make sure you're using an up-to-date version of your browser to upload files greater than 20GB.
Maximum upload size
The maximum file size you can upload is 128GB or 12 hours, whichever is less. We've changed the limits on uploads in the past, so you may see older videos that are longer than 12 hours.
Please see below the link to where we found this information and also other questions you may have about Uploading to YouTube and the size of your Video Inspections.
Company YouTube Channel
It is recommended that all users use the same company-created YouTube channel. If each user has their own private Gmail email/YouTube channel and they leave the company the videos will still be available until they either delete the YouTube channel or clear all the videos. This will then make all the video links in the property diaries invalid and all those video inspections will be lost.
