Add an income matrix for social housing providers (AUS)

Configure list defaults - Programs

The program types displayed on a property profile are active programs within your list defaults. All active programs set here will be shown and available for selection. This area is permission-based. If you can't access settings, please ask your manager or administrator for help.

  • Go to System > List defaults
  • Click the drop-down
  • Scroll down or search for Social Housing - Programs
  • Click the toggles to activate or deactivate the various programs. Programs are database-specific and will need to be manually added - there are no pre-supplied default programs

  • Click Save changes

Property programs

On a property for social housing in Australia, A program must be linked to each property.

  • Go to Property > Current properties
  • Search for the property
  • Either
    • Click the Edit button on the right of the property or
    • Click the property's name to open their profile
  • Click Dwelling Details

  • Click the program drop-down
  • Select a program
  • Click Save

Income matrix

About income matrix

When you add a person profile and enter in income details, Palace will check what program the linked property is assigned to and what income matrix is associated with this program. The income matrix looks at and determines what income is assessable or non-assessable.

Add income matrix

Mapping property program types to an income matrix allows users to define within Palace which income is assessable or non-assessable for a social housing person. If you can't access settings, please ask your manager or administrator for help.

Note: Each program can only be mapped to one matrix.

  • Go to System > Housing Config
  • Click Add Income Matrix

  • Once the screen has refreshed, enter a matrix name

  • Select from the available programs by clicking on the toggle buttons

Note: You can use multiple programs for an income matrix. The program types displayed here are what will be your active programs under your list defaults.

Select your payment types

  • Click the drop-down of the various payment types to select one of the available assessable type options:
    • Not Applicable
    • Assessable
    • Non-Assessable

Select your component types

  • Click the drop-down of the various component types to select one of the available income type options:
    • None
    • Rent Assistance
    • FTB-A
    • FTB-B
    • Income
    • Maintenance
    • Other
  • Click the drop-down of the various component types to select one of the available assessable type options:
    • Not Applicable
    • Assessable
    • Non-Assessable

  • When done, click Save Changes
